A student-first approach to drum lessons…
Each student brings with them a unique set of strengths and challenges, goals and skill levels. I take the time to get to know each individual, and asses everything from their current skill level to their personal tastes in music. With my assistance, students decide what they want to work on. I support them by meeting them where they are at and then coaching and encouraging them to new drumming heights. I find that my students especially love when they get to pick their favorite song and learn how to play it.

Hey, I’m Christian
Formerly a member of "The Commandant's Own," The United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, I am a drummer and instructor in Washington D.C. I perform and instruct all styles of jazz, funk, hip hop, rock 'n' roll, and rudimental drumming.
As a private teacher, I maintain a studio of over 15 students teaching rudiments, drum set fundamentals, and music theory. I offers drum lessons to all ages and ability levels. I take a student first approach in which students lead themselves through a self constructed curriculum. I demonstrate, play along and guide when appropriate to model a mature sound and mindset.
Studio Recordings
If there's one thing I love doing, it's recording. Before, during, and after my time in the Marine Corps, I have been hired to work sessions in Jazz, Funk, Rock, and Ragtime styles.
Now with a studio in Washington, DC, I can avail myself to record remote. All you have to do is send me your tracks and I will lay down drum music that serves your song.
Due to the nature of my experience in jazz, I am constantly playing by ear and learning tunes on the fly. Because of this, I will be able to listen to your track and provide rock solid drum beats that groove.
